PLAYING PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy is built on a continued education and developing our players to understand their roles and responsibilities within our system of play to create a holistic atmosphere in our developmental success.

Toronto Skillz playing philosophy when in possession encourages play out from the back with organized and systematic play, progressing to the attacking third to create chances with creativity, variety, and fearlessness. We teach our players to have fast and intelligent intent in our movement, passing, and dribbling.

When not in possession we are teaching the zonal-man and 11 defenders philosophy. Additionally, teaching when to be aggressive to win possession and when not to, as a team, as a unit and as an individual.
