Toronto Skillz U16 Academy Player Selected for St. Vincent & The Grenadines Men’s National Team Camp

Toronto, Ontario, Canada—February 9, 2019— Toronto Skillz FC is thrilled to announce that one of its top young talents, fifteen-year-old Tristan Marshall, will be joining the upcoming training camp of the St. Vincent & Grenadines Men’s National Team (SVGFF) for the upcoming Windward Islands Football Association tournament which will be held in St. Vincent from February 26 to March 8, 2019. Tristan will then remain with the National Team as they prepare for their Nations League game against Bonaire.

“All of us at Toronto Skillz are very proud of Tristan’s achievement. When Tristan was invited to attend a training camp with the SVGFF U17 team in December, we were very appreciative of the opportunity. Being asked to join the senior team due to his performance at the camp is an honour and a privilege for Tristan,” saidJake Doodnath, Club President. “We hope this path will propel Tristan towards achieving his goal of becoming a professional player.”

We would like to thank Tristan’s coach, William Giummarra, and his parents, Lenroy and Josette Marshall, for the mentorship and guidance they have provided. We also extend thanks to his team-mates and to our senior academy players for the support they have provided to Tristan.

Tristan joins a growing list of Toronto Skillz players who have made the transition from our Academy program to Junior National Teams, Professional Clubs, League 1 Ontario and University and College Soccer.
